This September, the Granby Chamber of Commerce will host its 2nd annual Taste of Granby charity event to benefit the Holcomb Farm. This year's event will take place on Thursday, September 23rd from 5:30pm-8:30pm at the Holcomb Farm and is shaping up to be even bigger and better than our debut event last year. Our returning providers this year will be Lite N Up Eatery, Asian Grill, Granby Pub, Granby Village Health, Geissler's Supermarket, Granby Package Store, Center Spirit Shop and Cambridge Brew House. We are also thrilled to have new to the event this year the Dutch Iris Inn, Rossetti's Wines and Tina's Ice Cream. With this line up, attendees will be sure to enjoy a wonderful array of tempting treats and tasty spirits!
In addition to the fine food and beverage, the Taste of Granby also offers entertainment with a silent auction and live music throughout the event. By popular demand, the Mayock Brothers, sponsored by the Simsbury Bank and Arrow Concrete, will be performing again on the grounds of the Holcomb Farm. And the silent auction will be back bigger and better than ever, offering an amazing selection of local goods and services that attendees can bid on during the event. Featured once again in this year's auction will be valuable works of art created by members of our own Granby Artists Association.
The Holcomb Farm, acquired by the Town of Granby in 1990, is a non-profit center organization dedicated to environmental and agricultural programs that explore and celebrate the natural world. The Holcomb Farm Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) offers members fresh produce throughout the growing season. Located at 111 Simsbury Rd, W Granby, Ct, 06090, the Holcomb Farm is a working farm, committed to preserving the expansive green spaces for which Connecticut is known, and dedicated to offering programs that honor community, agriculture and education. To learn more about the Holcomb Farm, please visit their website at www.holcombfarm.org.
Tickets for the event are $35 each, but can be purchased at a discounted rate of $25 at select Granby locations until September 15th and from the chamber office.
